Jordan Michelena
My name is Jordan Michelena and I am going into my fourth and final year at San Jose State University Theatre Arts program. I am going into theatre to become a stage manager, the person who oversees the technical aspects of a production. My time at San Jose State University has allowed me to get hands-on experience in my field by working on dozens of productions. I have known I wanted to be a stage manager for a long time, as I felt like my personal strengths of attention to detail and leadership would be best served here, along with my love of theatre. After graduation I am pursuing further stage management education in the form of graduate school and long term internships.

I will be starting college at Butte college next month. I am extremely excited for this new chapter of my life. My chosen course of study is Cosmetology, after years of doing my own hair, nails, makeup, etc. I've come to the conclusion that Cosmetology is what I'm most passionate about. Upon graduating I plan to find a job in the cosmetology field, where I will continue to grow and thrive, creating long lasting connections with my clients.

Morgan Pittman
I will be attending California State University, Monterey Bay for my sophomore year in the Fall. I will continue to compete on the women's golf team at CSUMB. I am currently majoring in Business Administration, but I may change that or add a minor if something more specific fits my interests better. I enjoy all things involving math, numbers, organization, and strategy which is how I chose my major. After graduation I hope to find a career in the golf industry while utilizing the business skills I will learn in the next few years. I also plan on playing competitive golf after college, although I am unsure if I want to try playing professionally. I am looking forward to spending another year in Monterey because it is the perfect place for golf and there is a wide variety of careers I can explore.

Thank you for rewarding me with the 2025 BCMEA scholarship! This semester, I will be finishing my first year at Butte College pursuing both Business Administration & Psychology degrees. I have always been drawn to business, and recently discovered my passion for Psychology through personal life experiences. This scholarship allows me to continue my aspirations of both degrees while also working full-time at Disney World as a Character Attendant in the Disney College Program. I intend to continue working for the Walt Disney Company while continuing my education, then take my degree and experience to start my own tech company.
